In 1986, Remo Semmler, with the intention of providing high-level professional support to people in need, decided to establish Roll Star.
The market success in Italian-speaking Switzerland has been rapid thanks to the principle of pursuing the maximum autonomy of each patient, as stated in our slogan: “because life is movement, and movement is freedom.” Since then, many things have changed, but our philosophy and spirit, which still form the foundation of our business activities, have remained unchanged.
For this reason, Roll-Star has been synonymous with quality and reliability for 30 years in providing consulting, sales, rental, and repair services for assistive devices in the rehabilitation and geriatric sectors, catering to both institutional and private clients.
Today, Roll Star is a renowned company that has its headquarters in Sementina and features a spacious showroom where assistive devices and products can be viewed and tested. From its initial specialization in wheelchairs and assistive means, Roll Star has successfully expanded its offerings by introducing new product lines, ranging from specialized furnishings to physiotherapy, from occupational therapy to patient management aids.

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Access to healthcare and the opportunity to pursue a rehabilitative path tailored to one’s needs should truly be a right for everyone. Often, it is the case, but unfortunately not always. In many contexts, far from our own country, it is not a right but merely a privilege reserved for a few.
We are aware that we cannot change everything, but we are equally aware that we can still do something. That is why we have decided to support several Swiss associations operating in countries where the level of healthcare is particularly low. Our support takes various forms, ranging from collecting second-hand wheelchairs and equipment to the development of specific projects for supplies and healthcare facilities in disadvantaged areas.
